Managing teams

Add teams to your league, understand the difference between league-level teams and season enrollment, and retire teams without losing history.

Teams in ARQ have two layers: the league-level team (permanent, carries history) and season enrollment (which teams play in a given season). The Teams page manages the first layer.

Adding a team

  1. Go to League hub → Teams.
  2. Tap Add team and enter the team name.
  3. The team is now in the league's permanent roster and available to enroll in any season.

Enrolling a team in a season

Adding a team here doesn't automatically put it in any season. To include it in the current season's schedule:

  1. Go to Seasons → [season] → Teams & Captains.
  2. Enroll the team, assign a captain, and place it in a division if you're using them.

Retiring a team (vs. deleting)

If a team stops playing but you want to keep their historical stats, set their status to Inactive instead of deleting. Inactive teams don't appear in the enrollment picker for new seasons.

You can only delete a team that has never played any games or had any rostered players. If the delete button is disabled, use Inactive instead.

Renaming a team

Tap the team name to edit it. The new name applies everywhere the team appears, including past game history.

When a team's captain changes

The captain assignment lives on the season enrollment, not the team itself. Go to Seasons → [season] → Teams & Captains to reassign the captain for a given season without affecting other seasons.
