Setting up the draft order
Arrange the per-round pick order and assign exactly one SKIP round to each captain before starting the live draft.
Draft Order Setup is the second step in the Player Draft. You arrange who picks in what order each round, and assign each captain exactly one SKIP round before the live draft can begin.
Reading the grid
The grid shows every pick slot in the draft: rows are pick positions (1 through number-of-captains), columns are rounds. Each cell contains a captain chip showing their name and PPG.
The order starts with no SKIPs assigned — the validation bar will show one issue per captain until you place them.
What is a SKIP?
A SKIP is a round where a captain doesn't pick. Because the draft fills roster_size - 1 slots per captain (the captain already occupies one slot on their own team), one round per captain must be left empty. Every captain needs exactly one SKIP across all rounds — no more, no fewer.
Placing a SKIP
Right-click any captain chip and choose Mark as SKIP. The chip turns muted and shows a "SKIP" pill. If that captain already has a SKIP elsewhere, the old one is automatically cleared.
To remove a SKIP, right-click the SKIP chip and choose Set to Normal Pick.
Reordering picks
Drag a captain chip to swap it with another chip. You can swap within the same round or across rounds. The Captain Schedule summary below the grid updates live as you make changes.
Starting the live draft
The Start Live Draft button appears in the header only when every captain has exactly one SKIP. Until then the header shows a red chip counting the remaining issues. The validation summary card lists exactly which captains still need a SKIP.
Tapping Start Live Draft locks the order and navigates to the Live Draft Board. The order cannot be changed after that.
On mobile
The draft order grid is desktop-only. On a phone you'll see a read-only summary and a note to use a laptop to drive the draft.
When you're stuck
- Validation shows "multiple SKIPs" for a captain — right-click one of their SKIP chips and choose Set to Normal Pick.
- "Reset Round to default order" in the context menu restores a round to its original chip order without touching any SKIPs.
- The screen is read-only — the live draft has already started. Navigate to Live Draft to continue.
