Setting up the draft pool
Snapshot the eligible players before the draft starts — choose which registered players are draftable and lock in the pool.
The Pool Setup screen is the first of three steps in the Player Draft. Its job is simple: pick which registered players the draft can pull from, then advance to Draft Order Setup.
What counts as eligible
Only paid registrants appear in the pool grid by default. If you want to include unpaid registrants, turn on the Show unpaid toggle in the top-right corner — unpaid players show an amber "UNPAID" pill on their card. You decide who's in; the system trusts your selection.
Captains are automatically included in their own team's roster and are not shown in the grid. A small note at the bottom of the page tells you how many were auto-rostered.
Selecting players
Tap any player card to select them (it turns orange). Use Select all to grab everyone currently visible, or Clear all to start over. Filters (Guard / Forward) work with Select all — only visible players are affected.
The sub-header shows a running count: "X selected · Y paid registrants · Z not yet paid (hidden)."
Minimum pool requirement
The Continue to Draft Order button stays disabled until you've selected enough players to fill every roster slot for every team. The page shows a banner explaining exactly how many more you need if you're short.
Saving the pool
Tapping Continue to Draft Order saves the snapshot and takes you to the next step. After that point:
- The snapshot is static — players who register after you save are not automatically added.
- You can return to this screen, but once the live draft has started, Pool Setup is read-only.
When you're stuck
- No players appear — no paid registrants yet. Open Season → Player Registration and check registration status.
- Continue is still disabled — check the minimum-pool banner; you need enough non-Captain players to fill all roster slots.
- The screen is read-only — the live draft has already started. Navigate to Live Draft to continue.
