Players — pool vs. roster

Understand the difference between the league player pool and season rosters, and how to add, roster, and merge players.

ARQ separates players into two concepts: the league player pool (everyone who has ever played in the league) and season rosters (which players are on which team this season). You manage them in different places.

The league player pool

League hub → Players shows every player ever added to the league, regardless of season. Use it to:

  • Find a player by name
  • See which team they were on
  • Add a player to the pool without immediately rostering them

Adding a player to the pool

  1. Go to League hub → Players → Add player.
  2. Enter their name and any other details.
  3. The player is now in the pool. Roster them via their team's roster page when you're ready.

Season rosters

Each team has a season-specific roster. A player can be on Team A in Season 1 and Team B in Season 2 — the roster is per-season, not permanent.

Adding a player to a team's roster

  1. Go to League hub → Teams, then tap a team.
  2. Tap Add player to roster and either select an existing pool player or create a new one inline.
  3. Optionally set their jersey number.

Removing a player from a roster

Removing a player from a roster removes them from that season only — they remain in the league pool and can be rostered on any team in future seasons.

Merging duplicate players

If the same person was added twice (slightly different name spellings, imported twice), use Players → Merge duplicates to combine them into one record. All past stats and events repoint to the kept record. This cannot be undone, so confirm the match carefully.

Setting a team captain

Captain assignment lives on the season roster. Go to the team's roster page and tap Set as captain next to the player's name.
